Job Title:Investment Platform Functional Business Analyst
Location:London (hybrid with occasional travel)
Salary/Rate: £550-650 inside IR35

Job Type: Initial 6 month contract

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Investment Platform Functional Business Analyst to support the Implementation Lead in delivering investment platform implementations to ensure client needs for investment accounting, compliance, and reporting are met.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
This role focuses on gathering and translating business requirements, aligning client workflows with platform capabilities, and supporting end-to-end implementation activities through to successful client go-live. Experience with Clearwater Analytics (IBOR/ABOR) is highly desirable, though candidates with similar investment or accounting platforms are encouraged to apply.

? Stakeholder Management:
Partner with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements, conduct regular status and working sessions, manage expectations, and support a smooth transition to the new investment platform.
? Functional Analysis & Platform Implementation:
Analyse client business processes and map them to platform functionality (e.g., investment accounting, reporting, compliance). Support configuration of system components such as funds, brokers, custodians, and general ledger accounts.
? Requirements & Documentation:
Elicit, document, and validate functional requirements, process flows, and data mappings. Ensure clear documentation to support implementation, testing, and post-go-live operations.
? Data, Integration & Testing Support:
Support data migration, reconciliation, and integration with third-party systems. Assist with UAT planning, execution, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
? Risk Management & Process Improvement:
Identify, document, and escalate risks and issues. Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation processes, templates, and documentation.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

? Experience:
o Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst or Implementation Analyst supporting investment platform implementations
o Experience working with external clients in a delivery or implementation environment
o Exposure to Clearwater Analytics strongly preferred; experience with similar platforms also acceptable
? Technical & Domain Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of investment operations, financial instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives), and investment accounting concepts (IBOR / ABOR, IFRS)
o Familiarity with SaaS platforms and system integrations
o Understanding of data structures and relational database concepts (SQL querying skills a plus)
? Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail
o Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

? Clearwater Analytics
? Aladdin, Charles River, SimCorp or similar investment/accounting platforms
